FAQ — 10 questions

Booking — How far in advance should I book my wedding videographer? We recommend booking at least 6 to 12 months before your wedding date, especially for peak season (November through April). Destination weddings in Cancun and Riviera Maya fill up quickly, and we only take a limited number of weddings per year to make sure every couple gets our full attention.

Booking — How do I officially book My Love Films for my wedding? Once you've reviewed our packages and are ready to move forward, we'll send you a contract and invoice. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date. Once the deposit and signed contract are in, your date is secured.

Delivery — How long does it take to receive my wedding film? For packages of 6 and 8 hours, we send you a sneak peek within the first week after your wedding. The full highlight film and feature film are delivered within 90 days.

Logistics — Do you travel to resorts outside Cancun? Absolutely. We work regularly with resorts like Finest Playa Mujeres, Secrets Maroma, Excellence Riviera Cancun, Hard Rock, Hyatt Ziva, and many others across the Riviera Maya.

Trust — I'm based in the US / Canada — how does the booking process work from abroad? Everything is handled remotely: consultations via video call, contracts and payments online. Many of our couples have never met us in person before the wedding day — and they always tell us it felt seamless.

Film — What's the difference between the highlight film and the feature film? The highlight film is a 4–6 minute cinematic edit — the emotional core of your day. The feature film is the full-length documentation, typically 20–30 minutes. Most packages include both.

Film — Can I choose the music for my highlight video? Yes — send us a list of songs at least one week before the wedding. We can't guarantee every track due to copyright, but the music we choose will always match the mood of your day.

Drone — Do you offer drone footage? Yes, as an add-on for outdoor ceremonies, subject to the resort's drone policy. We handle the coordination directly with the hotel.

Trust — What happens if something unexpected comes up on my wedding day? We've filmed weddings since 2011 and we've seen it all. We work closely with planners and resort coordinators beforehand so we're always aligned — we're the last thing you'll need to worry about.

Payment — What payment methods do you accept? Are there extra fees? We accept international payments online. The 30% deposit holds your date. Drone footage and travel fees (when applicable) are the only add-ons — no hidden fees, everything is in the contract.
